reuse resealable packaging.

today we will

reuse resealable packaging.
WHY It takes energy & materials to make & ship resealable baggies. And, baggy waste means more pollution. We will reduce our impact by reusing resealable packages.

HOW When we buy something in a resealable packaging, we can rinse it out and reuse it as a sort of ZipLoc® bag later. On that note, reusing baggies is a good idea, too.

From Subscriber Joscelyne C about yesterday's tip:
I like this tip but where can I buy these naturally dyed clothes if I don't have an extravagant budget—meaning I can only afford "fast fashion" or thrift store prices?

Our Answer:
Sorry for the confusion, this tip was meant to suggest opting for clothing that has not been dyed at all, and just looking to naturally-dyed clothing as a next best option. There should be opportunities to find dye-free clothing at most large retailers, including fast fashion ones! In fact, buying dye-free clothing (and accessories like a straw bag or hat) from these fast fashion retailers will give them the data that the demand for more sustainable clothing is on the rise, and it could encourage them to put more natural clothing on their floors, which would be great.

Here are a some examples of natural colored clothing at some fast fashion outlets, in case it's helpful.
